The little rescue with a big heart
Our primary mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and find loving, permanent homes for homeless dogs, specifically dogs in shelters at-risk of euthanasia and dogs whose owners can no longer care for them. We believe in compassionate rescue when the dog is enduring inhumane living conditions or likely to be deemed less adoptable due to age, health, emotional state, or breed. We ensure that all the dogs we take into our rescue, regardless of individual needs, are cared for with love and compassion for the duration of their lives.

You do you, Isabel! 😍
It is the Frenchie. Definitely the Frenchie. Attitude and does not play well with others. The rest are friendly but the Frenchie is plotting which one to take out first. 💯😝👍

This week, we’re shining our #ShelterSpotlight on a dreamy boy named Bruno. Found as a stray in Los Alamitos, CA, Bruno arrived at Long Beach Animal Care Services (LBACS) with a microchip that was traced to an adoption at another shelter back in 2022. Unfortunately, the LBACS team hasn’t been able to reach Bruno’s owners, so this handsome boy needs a new forever home. Bruno is truly stunning. He’s polite, gentle, easy-going, and loves to make new friends. He walks beautifully on leash, knows his basic commands, and appears to be completely house-trained. As you can see by his video, he’s also a great sport with a playful spirit. Bruno has done well with the other large breed dogs he’s met while at the shelter. He has not been tested with cats. Are you looking to adopt a new family member? Go meet this handsome superstar! Adopt
By providing a forever home for a dog in rescue, you're helping to free up a foster home, which allows us to help another dog in need. The dogs in our care are fully vaccinated, spayed or neutered (unless medically waived), microchipped, and receive regular wellness exams, preventative treatment, specialty care as needed. If you’re interested in meeting a K9 Kismet pack member, please fill out the adoption application to begin the process.
