Keeping Pets at Home
The K9 Kismet Amigos Program provides lifesaving medical care for dogs whose families need financial assistance during a medical emergency. When a family is facing an impossible situation, our goal is to help keep pets where they belong: at home.

The Amigos Program supports families who cannot afford emergency or specialty veterinary care for their dogs. After a family contributes whatever they are able, K9 Kismet steps in to cover the remaining medical costs so the dog can receive the care they need.
We do not require families to surrender their pets, repay medical expenses, or commit to future volunteer work. Help is provided with no strings attached, allowing families to focus on their dog’s recovery instead of financial stress.
Asher’s Story
Asher was just 12 weeks old when he was diagnosed with Laryngeal Paralysis, a serious condition that can interfere with breathing, eating, and drinking. Left untreated, the condition can lead to life-threatening complications, including aspirated pneumonia.
Asher required a specialty surgery to survive. Through the K9 Kismet Amigos Program, we were able to help supplement the cost of his care so his family could move forward with treatment and give Asher the chance he deserved.

When a family is in crisis and fighting to save their dog, money should not be the deciding factor. When we are able to ease that burden, we do, so families can focus on loving their pets and giving them the best possible chance at life.
